Weekly Interview.4

Hello, once again; I'm going to just go ahead and get right to the point. Because I have a very tight schedule. But I'll fill you in on all of the important stuff, nonetheless.
First of all, the official blogsite for "ZionsCrossings" is now officially up-and-running! The link to the blogsite can be found on the book's old webpage here at BoocLooks! Also, the book's facebook page is also officially up-and-running, so be sure to chck that out. I've also posted an awesome short-story on the "ZionsCrossings" blogsite. Details for which can be found on the blogsite's HOME page.
Next, I am currently involved in a school project that will require a lot of the time, and I am probably going to be posting a little less as a result of that. But I'll still write enough posts to keep the site going.
And now for the most important thing of all! If you read my post about the release date for "Insurgent", then you ahould also know that I am a HUGE fan of Veronica Roth's writings. Well, now I'm signed up to review yet another ARC release. This time for a book in a series that already has a lot of publicity. That's right, I'll be receiving, and definitely be reviewing, the ARC of Veronica Roth's "Insurgent"!
Finally, the results are in! More people like my posts that include a few spoilers than those who don't! In fact, only three people disliked them openly.
So, that's all for this post. And I might be posting a review sometime later on in the day. So keep an eye out for that. Until next time, so long everyone!

The Willows: Haven

By: Hope Collier
Rated: 1.7
Okay, there are some things that I seriously couldn't stand about this book. For one thing, I thought that the book was just a little bit.....abnormal. Normally, I'd probably give something away right about now; but I've gotten some very rude e-mails in the last couple of days telling me that I "shouldn't give away so much in my reviews. It's very f*cking annoying!" So, I'm going to do this non-spoiler review. If you like it, send me an e-mail telling me so. If you don't, also send me an e-mail telling me so. If you don't care, then tell me. People who don't care will be classified with the 'I Like Your REAL Reviews!', and not the 'I DON'T Like A Few Spoilers'. Just saying, since I only got three complaints, I'm thinking that 'I Like Your REAL Reviews!' will be the winner.
So, anyway, about the book itself. I'm not all that much of a romantic anymore; but I decided to give this book a shot anyway.....Biggest mistake of my life. The main character struck me as a very selfish person, who always wanted to put her problems on other people.
As for the plot. Well, there was no plot. Do not read this book. This is the first time in recorded history that I actually fell asleep while reasing a book. And I wasn't even tired! Yes, it's that boring.
All in all, I'm going to have to rate this one a 1.7, abd even that' being extremely generous! Until next time, this is Bowen. With BoocLooks.

Insurgent Cover

The cover for the sequel to "Divergent" is finally on its way. The book, "Insurgent" is to be released sometime in May 2012. As of today though, the "Insurgent" cover has finally been revealed. The cover, much like "Divergent" features an emblem from another one of the factions. However, unlike "Divergent's" cover - which featured Dauntless's emblem; "Insurgent's" cover will feature what I think is Amity's emblem. Here it is:

10 Years Later :'(

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the twin-towers demise. 10 years since the world fell apart, and America went to Hell. The last 10 years have been trying on America's faith, and her perseverance. We are fighting two wars on the enemies turf. Watched as first the twin-towers, and then the pentagon fell apart.
We weeped as the world watched that second plane fly into the South Tower. We screamed as the Towers fell apart during those last heart wrenching seconds of 9/11. And if only we knew that it was only the beginning.
10 years ago today, America lost her status as a superpower, and 3 nations rose up against us. 10 years ago our economy fell apart, 10 years ago America ceased to be the land of the free.
Many of us have lost hope, thinking that America will never recover. Immigrants have poured into America, because their countries are so terrible. But the truth is, America is not far behind. It is sad that Apple Inc. has more money in its bank account than the entire American Treasury. We are no longer the utopian society that we once were. Secrets are being kept from us. Innocent people are being killed for no reason whatsoever, and there is yet another war brewing on the horizon.
I have heard whispers of it nearly everywhere that I go. I can hear them in the streets, in the bookstores, the restaurants, the food court at the mall, Gap, Abercrombie & Fintch. Everywhere. And the whispers are telling me, that this time the war will not be fought on enemy turf. It will be fought right here, in America. And, in the end, America will no longer exist.
I can no longer called the States the United States because they are no longer united. That all ended 10 years ago. We had a few hours of unity before events were set in motion. Events that are now too far into their purposes to stop. But we can try.
Save America, reunite her. Make us the great people that we once were. Ring the bells of freedom, and let them ring from sea to shining sea. Let the world know that Lady Liberty is at her post once more, and make the terrorists tremble in their caves whenever they hear our name. America. The United States. Lady Liberty. Freedom. The Superpower.
Bring us back into an era of piece, power, and prosperity. No more of these make-believe fantasies as the world around us is falling into ruins. Make America, America again. As the people of the United States of America, this is all that we ask. Please stop the madness, before it's too late.

Weekly Interview.3

After two weeks going by without any word from me, I have finally decided to make my reappearance on BoocLooks! :-) It's been a rough couple of weeks for me. What with the moving to a new town, and state and the death of my dear Great Aunt Miriam; that I've really haven't gotten anything done!
I've gotten next to nothing written for "ZionsCrossings", and the little that I did write, I deleted because my writing was being affected by my emotional stress that I've been going through. So, if you signed up for the preview, I'm sorry that I haven't yet delivered it to you; and I'll deliver tomorrow morning at 12:00 p.m. EST. So be ready for that, and I hope that everyone had a great labor day! And for our recent viewers from Russia, welcome to the club guys. You are officially the tenth country to view the site! :-)
Also, for those of you out there who like technology, I have started another blog that I will be using to review devices running off of the Android OS. You can find it simply by clicking: HERE! Keep in mind that the site isn't all that great yet, being as I just published it yesterday, but I hope to have it looking better by the end of next week.
And for those of you who know how to program in Android, of Java, I need your help! I am developing an application that will blow you away, and will make smartphones in general much more likeable! If you know how to program in either Android, or Java (even if your only an amateur) then send me and email at: ocourse@osourcce.com. I look forward to working with you sometime in the near future! :-)
So, for those of you who loyally check BoocLooks for updates, I'm back! And for those of you from the 4-5 countries that just joined us at BoocLooks, sorry it took so long; and I can promise you that I will not be having another unplanned abscence like the one that I've just come back from. If ever I won't be able to post for longer than a week, I will make sure to post about it in the status bar.

The Power Of Six

By: Pittacus Lore
Rated: 4.9

That's right, it's finally here! The second book in the international bestselling "I Am Number Four" series! It's a really great book that I could not put down. I read it everywhere: at home, at school, at work. I know of at least one instance when I was up until 3 in the morning; captivated by the book's plot.
Which, by the way, is just as good (if not better) than the plot "I Am Number Four". In this book, John and Sam and Six are on the run from not just the Mogadorians, but also the FBI! There's danger at every corner, and as their enemies start closing in, it will take everything they have to escape unscathed. However, the return of such favorites is not what has this book getting so much attention. What's really getting people's attention is the appearance of two new Loric characters. Seven, Nine, and even one character that no one saw coming. All of which are - like Six and Four - BadAsses.
The book is available both as an e-book, paperback, and hardback here in the USA. I am unsure of its current international status, but I know for a fact that it is at least available as a hardback. However, one thing that I didn't like about this book was the ending. It was a total cliff-hanger, and I am not a big fan of the fact that it will probably be another year and-a-half before the third book is released.
I'm so sorry that there haven't been many posts lately, but someone stole my credit card, and my debit card, and so now I'm going to have to get it replaced. Getting that done today though, so you should start to see more posts sometime next week. Have a great weekend everybody! :-)
